Sara-Rose Spann is a sculpture artist from New Bern, North Carolina. Working primarily with ceramic and
stone, her art advocates for social topics she is passionate
about and serves as a reflection of her personal experiences
and beliefs. She is driven to create, and ideas usually strike her
very suddenly. Still, through the process of creating, she finds
deeper conceptual meaning in her work. She strives to
construct artwork encouraging people to reflect on
themselves, their beliefs, and experiences—inspiring empathy
and changing perspectives.

She graduated from Meredith College in the spring of
2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Studio Art.
She has been an exhibiting artist at the North Carolina Museum
of Art in the “Thinking Through Making” exhibition, the
Meredith College Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition juried
by Stacy L. Kirby, and the Artspace Juried exhibition “Scaffold”
held in Raleigh, NC. Juried by Jameela F. Dallis, Ph.D.

She has also been featured in publications such as the Atlantis
Creative Arts Magazine summer 2023 edition and the 18th and
20th volumes of the Meredith College Art & Literary
publication, the Colton Review.
